For those of us who love to stitch, especially if we’ve been happily pursuing this hobby for many years, our collections often include a lovely variety of laces, ribbons, braids, buttons and threads of many kinds, as well as beads, charms, and trinkets often salvaged from op shops and vintage markets or handed down from needleworkers in the family. But how to store these treasures? This folder is not designed to answer all our needs for storage of these embellishments lovelies, but it is a handy container for storage of items for a specific project or perhaps for several projects on the go. This way, they are all at hand, organized and ready to use as the need arises.
The folder is sized at 12″ square when closed, and 12″ x 24″ when open.
The folder opens to reveal an elasticized band for looping lace, ribbons, braid and other trailing items. Below is a pocket designed either to tuck the ends of these pieces in, or to be used for storage of packets and smaller items such as lace motifs, beads, charms, or buttons. On the inside right of the folder is a zippered pocket to keep all the loose bits and pieces safely stored, and below this are two slotted pockets for storage of thread cards, and other smaller items. The back of the folder features a lovely rose print, bordered by rambling roses. How pretty is that!
Our kits contain the pattern and all the fabrics needed, including the lining, and they are currently in these exact fabrics.
