Matilda’s Own Polyfuse is a fusible water-soluble tearaway. It softens when washed and does not leave any bulk to your design. Just trace the finished shape on to the paper side of the Polyfuse, cut out and iron this shape to the wrong side of the fabric to be appliqued, leaving a small margin of the fabric around the outer edge of the shape. Turn under the seam allowance around the entire edge of the shape, and either finger press or glue in place using gluestick. Place the shape in position on the background fabric, and hand applique the folded edge to the background.
