This lovely old-fashioned bag, inspired by embroidery on silk piano shawls and doilies from the 1920’s, is one you will love to make and use. With a generous double pocket in the front, embroidered with a lovely rose, and edged with lace to represent crochet, this beautiful piece also features embroidered scroll work on the top band. A very special feature of this bag is an exquisite vintage print fabric that sits on the sides and wraps round to the back of the bag. This print is in very short supply, and once sold, the kits will have a substitute fabric for this section.

A large roomy pocket sits at the back, and this is secured with a lovely large vintage button.  The bag is padded with wool wadding, which gives it a lovely soft, but firm feel.

The kit includes pattern, embroidery transfers, and all the fabrics needed to make the bag, including the lining.

Fabrics in kits may differ from the ones pictured, but they are all similar in flavour and colour to the ones in the original bag.
